Internazionale made their chances count at De Kuip on Tuesday, beating Feyenoord Rotterdam 3–0 in the UEFA Champions League league phase. Yann Bisseck opened the scoring in the eighth minute, Pio Esposito headed in the second in the 34th, and Piotr Zielinski added the third in the 54th to complete a convincing away victory.
Inter establish first-half advantage
Hakan Çalhanoglu’s third-minute booking was an early disciplinary setback for Inter, but the visitors soon had something more positive to build on. Bisseck struck after eight minutes, putting Feyenoord on the back foot before the fixture had settled.
The hosts finished with a greater share of possession, but Inter supplied the decisive moments. Esposito’s 34th-minute header doubled the advantage, giving the visitors a firm grip on the result before the interval.
Manuel Akanji and Feyenoord’s Gjivai Zechiël were both booked in the 39th minute, and Inter reached half-time with their two-goal cushion intact.
Zielinski puts the result beyond reach
Feyenoord needed an early response after the restart. Instead, Zielinski struck in the 54th minute to extend Inter’s lead to 3–0, leaving the home side with a mountain to climb.
The contrast in attacking efficiency told the story. Both teams attempted 11 shots, but Inter put six on target to Feyenoord’s two. Despite holding 53.1% possession and winning five corners to Inter’s four, the hosts could not turn their greater share of the ball into a goal.
Clinical finishing makes the difference
Inter’s three goals from six efforts on target underlined the cutting edge that separated the sides. They did not need to dominate possession to take command of the fixture, establishing a strong first-half platform and adding a third shortly after the break.
For Feyenoord, the frustration was clear: enough possession to stay involved, but too little threat to alter the course of the evening. Inter departed Rotterdam with three points, a clean sheet and a decisive Champions League victory.
