Sporting Kansas City and FC Dallas shared the points at Sporting Park on Saturday, October 31, with Jansen Miller’s header in first-half stoppage time securing a 1–1 draw in their Major League Soccer fixture.

Herman Johansson put Dallas ahead in the 19th minute, but Miller answered in the second minute of added time before the interval. Neither side found another breakthrough after the restart, leaving the Western Conference opponents with a point apiece.

Johansson strikes before Miller’s timely response

Johansson’s 19th-minute opener gave the visitors the advantage, and Dallas remained in front as the first half approached its conclusion. Sporting, however, delivered a timely response: Miller headed home at 45+2 minutes to send the teams into the dressing rooms level.

That equalizer proved decisive to the outcome. With no further goals in the second half, Sporting’s intervention just before the break ensured Dallas could not turn their early lead into an away victory.

Possession for Sporting, more attempts for Dallas

Sporting finished with 54.6 percent possession and put four of their eight attempts on target. Dallas produced more attempts overall, registering 10, but only two were on target. The visitors also held a 7–3 advantage in corners.

Those contrasting figures reflected a contest in which neither side established a decisive edge. Sporting had more of the ball and more efforts on target, while Dallas generated the greater volume of attempts without finding a second goal.

Discipline was another feature of the fixture, with both teams committing 17 fouls. Dallas collected four yellow cards, compared with Sporting’s three. Late cautions for Dallas players Osaze Urhoghide in the 83rd minute and Samuel Sarver in the 89th punctuated a second half that ultimately remained goalless.
