FC Dallas claimed a hard-fought 2-1 Major League Soccer victory over Minnesota United FC at Allianz Field on Wednesday night, with substitute Santiago Moreno delivering the decisive goal in the 84th minute.
After a goalless first half, the fixture came alive after the interval. Dallas broke through in the 62nd minute when Kaick found the net, rewarding the visitors after they had created the greater attacking volume across the match.
Minnesota responded with purpose and drew level in the 73rd minute through Kelvin Yeboah. The Loons had edged possession with 51.6 percent and pressed for a home winner, but Dallas retained a threat in transition and from their set-piece pressure.
The decisive moment arrived six minutes from time. Moreno, introduced from the bench, struck in the 84th minute to restore Dallas’ advantage and settle an absorbing late spell in Saint Paul.

The result moves FC Dallas to an 11-7-6 record, while Minnesota United fall to 7-8-9. Minnesota return to action against St. Louis CITY SC on Saturday, while Dallas travel to face the Portland Timbers on the same day.
