Orlando City SC and FC Cincinnati played out a hard-fought 1-1 draw at Inter&Co Stadium on Saturday night, with Tyrese Spicer’s 48th-minute equalizer cancelling out Pavel Bucha’s first-half opener for the visitors.
Cincinnati struck first in the 23rd minute through Bucha, whose goal gave the away side a valuable lead heading into the interval. The visitors defended their advantage through the remainder of the first half, while Orlando searched for a way back in front of their home support.
The Lions responded immediately after the restart. Spicer scored in the 48th minute to level the match at 1-1, shifting the momentum toward Orlando and setting up an open second half.
Orlando carried a greater attacking threat over the 90 minutes, finishing with 17 shots and five efforts on target. They also won 10 corners and created 13 shot assists, but Cincinnati held firm through a tense closing stretch to secure a point on the road.
Cincinnati produced 11 shots, with three on target, and matched Orlando’s 50 percent possession share. The visitors were disciplined defensively despite committing 12 fouls, with Evander shown a yellow card in the 55th minute and Matt Miazga booked in the 85th. Orlando defender Robin Jansson also entered the book in the 29th minute.
Neither side could find a decisive late goal, and the final whistle confirmed a legitimate share of the points. Bucha’s 23rd-minute strike and Spicer’s 48th-minute response ensured the sides could not be separated in Orlando.
