Utah Royals and Seattle Reign FC shared the points in a 0–0 draw at America First Field on Friday, October 23, with the hosts unable to turn their statistical advantage into a breakthrough.

A crowd of 14,149 watched the NWSL fixture in Sandy, Utah, where the Royals finished with 57.5 percent possession and four shots on target to Seattle’s one. Neither side found the net, leaving both with a clean sheet and a point.

Royals hold the edge but cannot find a goal

Utah’s advantage extended to set pieces, with the hosts winning eight corners to Seattle’s two. The Royals also led the overall shot count 11–9, but those opportunities did not produce the decisive touch.

Seattle remained within reach despite having less of the ball. Their nine attempts showed an attacking presence, although only one tested the target—a limitation that kept the visitors from making more of their own opportunities.

First-half bookings for Seattle

Jess Fishlock received a yellow card in the 20th minute, before Seattle teammate Jordyn Bugg was booked in the 37th. The Reign committed 14 fouls across the match, compared with Utah’s nine.

The deadlock remained intact through second-half stoppage time. For Utah, the final whistle confirmed a missed opportunity to translate more possession, corners and efforts on target into three points. For Seattle, it secured an away point and a clean sheet against a side that had more of the ball.
